I currently serve as a Software Engineer supporting the United States Department of Justice, contributing to the sustainment and modernization of mission-critical enterprise applications in a highly regulated federal environment. Active Secret Clearance and DOJ Public Trust. My work includes security-focused maintenance, vulnerability remediation, third-party library and API dependency upgrades, and secure delivery practices that help protect enterprise systems supporting critical government operations.

I also use agentic AI systems as part of my engineering workflow to accelerate research, analyze complex code paths, draft implementation plans, compare remediation options, and improve the quality of technical decisions. That hands-on AI engineering connects directly to my professional work in secure modernization: increasing delivery speed while preserving engineering judgment, traceability, and care for PII-sensitive federal systems. That same engineering is now leading me to design and build my own AI-enabled applications.

Current Role

Software Engineer, Department of Justice United States Trustee Program

Maintain and enhance enterprise-scale DOJ financial and case management systems built on legacy Java/Spring/Struts architectures supporting mission-critical bankruptcy and trustee operations.

  • Investigate complex dependency and deployment issues across distributed Java listener services built around message broker infrastructure and asynchronous enterprise workflows.
  • Remediate enterprise security vulnerabilities by upgrading third-party libraries, API integrations, and application dependencies while resolving compliance findings from automated security scanning platforms.
  • Improve build automation and CI/CD workflows across dependency resolution, deployment packaging, and selective test execution to strengthen build reliability and developer feedback cycles.
  • Troubleshoot application servers, messaging services, database integrations, environment configuration, and permission-driven backend and UI functionality.
  • Use agentic AI systems to reason through legacy code paths, compare remediation options, draft implementation plans, validate system design decisions, and reinforce secure coding and maintainability best practices.

Software Engineer, National Science Foundation EPSCoR / EDOCS

Delivered modernization work for NSF's EPSCoR platform, improving application stability, data workflows, access control, testing, and user-facing features under evolving federal requirements.

  • Led 90+ user-impacting enhancements and critical code fixes across Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, jOOQ, Liquibase, and core data workflows.
  • Drove Vue.js and TypeScript development with reusable components, permission-aware interfaces, accessibility improvements, and consistent user experiences.
